Our History
An original picture of how our church looked like at the corner of Cedar Ave and Woodward Ave.
Founded in 1961 as a mission church by the California Southern Baptist Convention. Throughout the years, the church grew and impacted its community with the Gospel message as well as meeting their needs. The church was first known as Templo Bautista. Under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Sotelo, the church grew significantly. He led the church to build the current worship center as seen in the picture above. The entire church congregation took a part in building the new facility. They truly left a wonderful legacy which today we continue to worship both in English and Spanish and do ministry out of.
For twenty year Pastor James Page served the church faithfully. After his retirement, Pastor Mike Solorio was called and led the church for over two years. In the latter part August of 2019, the church called Pastor Moises Garcia as their new lead pastor. He shared with church the vision God had given him. This vision was to love God, love each other and love our community in order to see new lives come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. With God's help and guidance, we have seen people receive Jesus as well as being baptized. Our dream is to see God move mightily in us and through so that many more will come to know the love and grace He has for them in Jesus Christ.
